The EST3 panel can put its device into alarm via the keypad
http://www.thealarmtech.com/forum/viewt ... ?f=5&t=598
THIS IS A GREAT FEATURE
this only works with the 3-SSDC1 or 3-SDDC1 cards not the 3-SSDC or 3-SDDC

Via the keypad (under test) you tell the device to go into alarm the device then goes into alarm and responses back.
The LED on the device lights, because the device is in alarm.
The device has to be communicating for it to go into alarm.

I use this when I only need to test the response of the device.

I have only put Alarm devices into alarm, I have not activated supervisory

this may work for you. The device does go into alarm, but the element is not tested

Currently I use 120V. electrical heat gun with extension cord and it is takes forever especially if you have hundreds.
I can not use SOLO kit it does not work for this type of heat detectors.
Can you guys give me an advise ?.

Thank you
