Hi,
When trying to view status of a EST3X control panel (computer and panel on the same LAN) I get this error (see image). Any ideas on what could be the problem?. The panel responds ok to command PING.
Thanks

Thanks Martin,
But is only one control panel. Anyway we tried the 2 options (single step and network) and in both cases we have same error. The problem must have another cause..

Is this a first time download with the network card? The default ip is usually 192.168.1.3.
Verify your pc ip and est are set to the same subnet. Run a report to get ip info from panel.
Try connecting directly to the panel by manaully setting your pc network adapter ip address to match the subnet.

Ok. Control panel and PC are in same subnet. When we pinging from the PC, the panel responds well
This is the configuration of the network card:
Also, we try to connect directly PC to Panel, but still have the same error message.....

Has this cpu been downloaded before, or is this first time? If so, i think you may be pinging some other device on the LAN. Or you could have duplicate IP's on the LAN.Check a report from the panel itself for the software version, it will list the current ip address and port. Unhook the panel from the Lan and try pinging again. If you get a response, its either duplicate IP's, or follow instructions below.
The IP programming you show is not the default values. These values will not take effect until it is downloaded into the cpu. An out of box cpu will use 192.168.1.3 on port 2501, which you would enter on the download screen directly. You will need to connect directly to the ehternet card and manually set pc ip to this subnet. Once the first download goes, then the new values you have configured in the Cabinet IP configuration will take over. An alternative is to download the first time with rs232, then the network ip programming will match, and should work with settings you have now.

Thanks Pyrosucks,
We previously downloaded database to the CPU and all SLC cards (via RS232) with the new settings. Very sure that the cpu has the new IP address 192.168.0.25, port 60515
Regards

Well, that just leaves 4 things
-your pc (can you try another) is this a built in ethernet port or a usb dongle type
- your cat 5 patch cable
- bad ethernet card in panel
- could still have duplicate ip
