could you help me in downloading the alarms history from a working est3 panel to my labtop?
i don't have the system printer and need to download the alarm history.
Alarms history download
Re: Alarms history download
You do not need a printer but you do need a RS232 daughter board on the 3CPU.
It is a option board that is mounted on the 3CPU, it is just like the RS485 daughter board which is used of network communications. (panel to panel). look for other hyperterminal posts
You could try connecting your computer as if you were going to load the panel, but open hyperterminal ( 9600baud, no flow control) and run a report on printer 1 and printer 2.

Re: Alarms history download
did you try this before Leo?
how did you proceed exactely?

Re: Alarms history download
Exactly not sure but.
first you need a RS232 daughter board installed on the 3CPU, without it you are going no where.
if it is installed it is most likely programmed to work.
next use your volt meter put it on TX and Grd and run a report. no voltage change no report.
then play with hyperterminal

successful Leo,
I use RS232 as you suggess,
wire the RS232 as it is for the printer,
set the hyperterminal on the port COM that you use and force the encoding to ANSI(if not the report wil be (_çàéè(_çèçé"'_(çàè_çé"'-(èçà"'_(-çàè"'_(--&_ç-è"(_ç'-"_ç(è_çà)
the print localy the history,
transfer to any format you want (txt;pdf)
ooooffff!!!!
