SDU rule edith warning

The built-in editor that the SDU uses is very limited and is unable to open large files.
go to Options/Customize choose the configuration tab and at the bottom uncheck "Use Default Editor" and select a different rule editor, i.e. Notepad, Notepad++ etc.

Am having difficulties to open my rules . I got this warning msg : File exceeds maximum size .
Guys can someone assist.
