A couple of weeks ago I was in Sarasota for a day to beta test the iO 1000. It will have the same basic layout, but where the 2 SLC cards currently reside will be replaced by new SLC cards that each can handle 2 class A loops. The iO-CU was still pretty glitchy, but the layout was the same. I tried to convince them to add a "reinitialize loop" button in the iO-CU.
I also got a tour of their labs and got to see a Fireworks network. I wasn't told when they were releasing that.
iO 1000 expected to be out 1st quarter 2016.
