I got a following prolem:

I got ack to old place, where i have to change a few labels and messages in the loop controllers and add few modules.
I can't communicate my SDU with CPU. When uploading diagnostic data with single step from several controller everything is fine
but only at 9600 baudrate. With any higher communication fails.
When i plug com cale to CPU jack there is no communication even at 9600 even to SDDC1 in the same cabinet (over network).
System works fine, all cabinets and LRMs communicates each other with no problem.
I can't download my rules etc...

Any solutions?
usb-rs232 adapter failure? (at 9600 with single step works fine)
rs232 port settings?

Parameters:

- 3 cabinets with 7 SDDC1 modules.
- SDU v3.74 (tried even v3.70 and v5.02)
- COM port settings: 38400,8,N,1,no flow control. (tried also lower audrate)

to communicate with any CPU whether EST 3 or whatever ,you have to wait taht the CPU is not to busy and able to communicate with you,
in your case many causes can be a reason of this communication faillure;
-check first your configuration of the project,then
-check the number of the devices on your loop ,
if it is next to the maximum permited ,the loop card is busy to communicate to the devices and cannot accept your demand,
in the case of EST3, the LCD do not show the CPU occupation,
-after that check your wiring ,for example how many time are the cable installed, is there some places exposed to rain or sole ray,if yes this part of cable may be damaged and it is difficult for the loop card to receive the information from the devices,
-your USB adaptor is functionning that's why you can communicate to the loop card directly do not have a doubt ;
-last one check the temperature of the daughter card (3-sdc1) in the back of the 3-sddc1 if it is to hight that means that he is nest to the end of his lif and you need to change this card.
