Addressable fire phone jack plates Edwards 6833-1 ????? this are just $9 firephone jacks right? because you call their addressable

you will need a CC1 for each phone jack plate, you could put a few phone jack plates on one CC1.
no rules are needed, give the CC1 a device type of firephone, the first 15 or so characters of the message will display on the ASU/FT.
when you plug the phone into the jack the CC1 input is shorted which will signal the ASU/FT with a Buzz, you hit the button on the ASU to connect the firephone in the ASU with the firephone in the field.

also the firephone circuit starting at the ASU should be one long run (no taps) at the end of the circuit goes the terminating resistor of the ASU firephone circuit.
You can get around one long run, if you have four towers all returning a firephone circuit. you can just tie they altogether but they will not be supervised, or put a CC1 on the return end of the circuit so two cc1's will need to turn on to connect the firephone, the operator will need to hit the connect button two times on the ASU/FT

the wire is important DO NOT USE SHIELDED WIRE it will pick up every bit of noise in the place.
this is from the wire guide manual page 22- http://www.thealarmtech.com/forum/viewt ... ?f=5&t=112 I still would not use shielded
-ASU to CC1, CC1 to Jack/Station. 1 Pair Twisted Shielded 18 AWGt o 12 AWG Firemen's Telephone 96

I think you can only jack/plug in so many phones at one time, but you can put hundreds on of jack on the circiut.
