map fault on sdu 2.1
Re: map fault on sdu 2.1
SDU 2.1 is very old, you need to upgrade it, upgrading to 3.74 may fix your problem.
-- upgrade these panels --
I spoke to EST tech support about upgrading from 2.1 to 3.74, he said just follow the release notes for upgrading your panels.
Also the worst case would be you will need to go to each panel and download each card direct not via the network.
remember there is 3 things to load (boot code, app code, database)
EST3_VER_3.74_RELEASE_NOTES
12.3. Upgrading V1.4 or higher to V3.70 ->To upgrade from V1.4 or higher:
12.4. Upgrading firmware on 3-SSDC(1), 3-SDDC(1), and 3-AADC(1) loop controllers

Re: map fault on sdu 2.1
You had a Map Fault on "Several panels" or SSDC cards. Lets start with just ONE SSDC Card...
You dont have to Upgrade your SDU Version to fix a map fault.
1-) Go to Map.
A-) iS YOUR MAP ALL "WHITE"? Good to Go??
b-) Is there any devices that are not white?
2-) Remember..Sometimes the "Accept Actual" can do some damage. I rarely use it. It is not necessary most of the time.. I Upload Map. Reconcile What I have to.. (I always check the LOOP STATISTICS under the "Show Menu" Heading. Then if every is cool.. Then you COMMIT EXPECTED.....
does everything turn BLUE?
3-) VERY IMPORTANT.....You said you...." read all the loops and mapped them accept all , commit all then reupload the ssdc cards"
DID You CONVERT the ssdc databases before you Loaded them?? If not, thats why you would have problems... Tools....Signature Series....Conversion....Then save...Then Load System....
4-) If what I said didnt work... Then what I do is REINITIALIZE the SSDC card. This is somewhat of a last resort. (its not that big a deal) ... A reinitialize will Erase the EEprom Data off of the Ssdc card, and then it will map what is out there. IE-- It will clean out all the garbage of accepting actual and all that stuff. The.. Reconcile your map... Then COMMIT ALL, then compile and CONVERT.. the load...
5-) When an SSDC card is mapping....I always watch when its mapping... (TOOLS...SIGA Series, Status/Diagnostics ,Mapping Progress... (Make sure you pick correct cabinet and loop controller when viewing..)
Let me know how you make out, or if you need anything.....
