** if you have problems with DBviewer.exe
** go to this site http://scalabium.com/ it is the latest PDviewer ** run as admin
If you have a SDU that you do not have a Password for or a SDU that needs to be recover from a old PC or directory.
Will also work with the EST2 sdu's
note: It seems like the term SDU can mean the EST3 program or the Project. (The SDU is the project for this post)
Overview-You will need to make a new project, save it, delete the version directory and copy the old project into it.
1 - Lost password for Exported SDUs:
The exported SDU file ie. factory1.SDU is little more then a Zip file.
Change the SDU file to -> factory1.ZIP, now just unzip the file. it will look like factory1_01_01_01
Now rename the SDU directory Factory1_01_01_01 to 01_00_00
2 - Setup the SDU project that is in need:
Open the EST3 program -> project-> new-> LOST_PROJECT -> save -> close
The password you use will be the old SDU's new password
You will probably need to do a (save as) to match the old sdu version
ie. old sdu 01.01.01 -> new sdu 01.01.01
3- Move the Old SDU program into the newly created directory
Now find the directory project\LOST_PROJECT\01_00_00
Delete it - 01_00_00
Move the renamed/lost SDU into project\LOST_PROJECT\
The only thing to keep in mind:The old and new SDU version directory names need to be the same 01_00_00 ->99_99_99
