LOOP CARD DEVICES ?
Re: FIRE PANEL UPDATE FROM EST2 TO EST3, ANY TOOL CAN TRANSF
no tools
this is not hard
in fact this is the job EST techs like the most
the EST2 has a printer port that does work, if you connect your computer to it, get the baud rate right
left the wires off the SLC and all the device names and addresses can be on a file on your computer
create a est2 project and upload the map, now you have serials and addresses
all you are missing is which inputs turn which outputs on
have fun

Re: FIRE PANEL UPDATE FROM EST2 TO EST3, ANY TOOL CAN TRANSF
I am a designer and use LFP printers for sign company NYC.I found the issue of port connection with EST2 along serials and addresses by creating est2 project.I also try to get the baud rate right left the wires off the SLC but all the device names and addresses can not be found. How should I fix this?
Re: FIRE PANEL UPDATE FROM EST2 TO EST3, ANY TOOL CAN TRANSF
I guest the first thing to do is get your computer to capture the printer port data from the EST2 panel
using hyperterminal to capture the data. all events will be sent to the printer port.
using your meter (ground and txt, meter on DC 20 volts) on the printer port, if you left the slc you will see the volt change
now using hyperterminal get the baud rate right, check other post to help you find it, (try 7,2,E)
