ONYXWorks - Importing 1.5 to 3.12 Tips

Install the Upgrade Wizard if not on your computer.
The readme.txt file with the upgrade wizard was a little confusing with where to import from.

It will ask you to location the system to be upgraded, this is the location of the old uninet manager system.
To help locate right click the Workstation icon and check properties.
If you do not pick the right folder it will error out, understanding which folder it was looking for was the only problem I had.

The system I upgraded had a old computer running windows98 with only a A: drive and a network connection.
Using a crossover cable, sharing the uninet folder on the old computer, setting the ip address on the new computer one off from the old computer and opening explorer using the IP address and computer name I was able to find and copy over to the new computer the needed folder

The macros did not import and the nion properties need to be adjusted.
The screens and icons did import OK.

The RTU inputs/outputs device types do not import, open the old db.mdb file in excel and fix all points via RTU configuration via right clicking a icon. all the devices will not go into alarm, will display yellow when active, and also will only come in as OTHER not fire or security.

copy pasted \\101.101.101.101\fold new pc\Multinet
need to point upgrade wizard at the multinet folder
