N-1000 Panel Communication Problems (working on)
This post is to help troubleshoot panels not communicating with Winpak
Current Loop vs rs484/N-485-PCI http://www.honeywellsecurity.com.au/dow ... 20(NC).pdf
Current loop is old stuff
If a lan serial T is used ie: Lantronix
start-> run-> cmd
Telnet 10.11.0.10 9999 (once the lantronix has an IP address this is how you change settings via its IP connection) (Hold x on powerup)
Telnet 10.11.0.10 3001 (this is the same as going into hyper terminal) short pins 2 and 3 to test back
N-1000 panel red TX LED, is not the panels TX of data, it is the computer or N-485-PCI transmitting.
N-1000 panel Yellow Status LED, flasks once every 4 seconds when communicating.
