Generating email on card read

I've configured Winpak to have my NetAXS readers generate an email on a "card found" condition, but the emails are not getting generated. I can do a telnet from the winpak server to port 25 of the email server and generate a test email successfully. The setup is pretty straight forward, but something must not be correct.
