Hey Guys (used as a generalization in case there are Gals too)
I am an IT professional that was just thrown into a new job where I also get to handle the WinPak SE software and door access.
Needless to say I am COMPLETELY clueless on what I am doing.
Today, the card readers started beeping, on their own... three short beeps and then nothing for a minute. Meanwhile, they do not detect card scans. I was able to unlock the doors until I could figure it out.
I am reaching out to the geniuses here. All suggestions will be treated as gold.
I have so many other questions about the software, but right now this is urgent...

one of two things
the reader is beeping on its own or the panel is making it beep.
in some cases if a door is ajar it will make the reader beep - bad door contact.
go to the panel id the reader wire remove all but the red and black wires and power it up. if it still beeps 3 times it is the reader.
